"My advice to entrepreneurs is to remain focused. Nothing comes easy in life, so you must constantly focus on your work, your team, and create the right environment for your business."

In this interview, Mr. Hemant Jain talks about how the Jain family built a world-leading chemicals business despite not having any special knowledge or training in that field. He speaks about general principles of business success that are applicable for any business, not just his own field.

With universities today offering courses for young entrepreneurs on family run business management, Mr. Jain says this is a very positive development and would be very helpful to people like him who had to make a career choice early on to join his family owned industrial business. Mr. Jain, who then worked to scale the business to a global leadership position, says formal education in family business management can help many young entrepreneurs to transform their businesses from within.

"In business, life is never smooth and without challenges. But if you have the right team, right people in place, and have the right intent, then things tend to fall in place."
