Hi my name is Rehaan Khaneja and this is the 22nd podcast in the Leadership Speaks series where I interview the most successful and influential leaders of India.
INTRODUCTION
Mr. Siddharth Jain is Executive Director and Member of the Board of the INOX Group - a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, with a legacy of over 90 years in India. It was started by Devendra Kumar Jain in 19632. The group has diversified business segments, including manufacturing plants for refrigerants, PTFE resin, extracting and selling gases, and the popular multiplex chain INOX Leisure.
The group comprises three main businesses:
> INOX Air Products: India’s largest manufacturer of Industrial & Medical Gases.
> INOXCVA: A global market leader in vacuum insulated cryogenic equipment.
> INOX Leisure: One of India’s largest cinema exhibition companies.
The group has about 200+ business units all over India with more than 10,000 working individuals2. Their distribution network is spread across 50 different countries.
Siddharth Jain joined the Group in 2001 and has been actively involved in the Groups’ Strategic Planning & Business Development initiatives1. He is directly responsible for the Industrial Gases, Entertainment and Cryogenics Equipment Manufacturing businesses1. Under his management, each of these companies today has achieved leadership positions in their respective industries.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is an alumnus of The University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He also has an MBA from INSEAD. He is a Member of the World Economic Forum at Davos and has been honoured with the prestigious Economic Times ’40 Under Forty’ India’s Hottest Business Leaders Award 2018. He is involved in various social work programmes through his family’s foundation and is an avid golfer.
